Sara El Miniawi earned her MSc in Clinical psychology from University College London (UCL) in the UK. She obtained a B.A in Psychology from New York University (NYU) in the United States. 


Sara has experience working at hospitals and clinics and has worked at Al-Mashfa psychiatric hospital and The Mind Clinic in Egypt. She received training from various hospitals in Egypt including The Behman hospital and Adel Sadek hospital. Sara has experience with people struggling with mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD, and personality disorders. And, with difficulties such as self-esteem issues, stress, relationship issues, and identity issues. 


Sara’s primary aim is to offer a warm, safe, and judgment free environment for people where each person can talk and feel heard. She believes that a trusting and collaborative relationship between the therapist and client is key for successful therapy. By providing a warm, safe, and judgment free environment to explore what may be contributing to the clients’ difficulties Sara provides an opportunity to gain another perspective and to explore other options for managing the clients’ issues.


Sara draws on a wide range of therapies and uses an integrative approach where various types of therapy are used and combined in order to cater to the clients’ specific needs. Sara has knowledge and experience working with CBT, DBT, interpersonal therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. 


Sara has worked with individuals from different cultures and always takes into consideration how each person’s social circumstances or environment impact their mental health and will tailor her therapeutic approach to suit each client’s individual needs.


She is comfortable conducting sessions in both English and Arabic.
