Nourhan graduated with highest honors from the American University in Cairo where she double majored in Psychology and Media Arts. She went on to obtain her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from University College London in the United Kingdom

Nourhan is a member of the Psychology Honor Society (Psi Chi). Her work experience involved working in Egypt and the UK. She received her training in inpatient as well as outpatient settings in both private and public sectors; which included the Behman Hospital in Cairo and England’s NaJonal Health Service (NHS). She has experience working with all age groups and working in both individual and group settings.

She adopts an eclectic approach where she draws on elements of different therapies including Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Person-Cantered Therapy (PCT) with a focus on Cognitve Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

In her work with children, she likes to adopt a holistic, collaborative approach where she includes elements of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Play Therapy, Art Therapy and CBT to promote social and emotional wellbeing.

Nourhan believes in providing a holistic, client-cantered approach, guided by each person’s specific needs. She has experience working in multi-cultural settings and with diverse communities from different backgrounds and can conduct sessions in both English and Arabic.
