YOUSSRA HWAIDAK, MSC.

Therapist

Youssra  Hwaidak , MSc.  is a Fulbright scholar who got her master’s degree in psychology from University of Indianapolis in the USA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the American University in Cairo and she is a member of the Psi Chi, (The International Honor Society in Psychology). Throughout the course of her studies and trainings, she worked with diverse populations in different settings. Her vision is to use her clients’ differences to help them prosper as unique human beings.

 

Youssra’s experience varies across different populations and mental health challenges. She worked with at-risk students on coping with stress and other challenges on emotional, behavioral, and cognitive levels at the Center for Student Well-being (CSW) at the American University in Cairo. She received training at the Behman Psychiatric Hospital and Egyptian Autistic Society and worked as a junior therapist at Launch Egypt. She also held the position of graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis and teaching assistant at the British University in Egypt. 

Currently, along being a psychotherapist, Youssra is an assistant lecturer in the psychology department at Coventry University.

Youssra aims to always create a safe and accepting environment. “I believe that therapy enlightens us into realizing our full potential. We struggle differently everyday with our thoughts and life challenges. Therapy offers the skills that can contribute to making our journeys less challenging. Everyone deserves to have a safe space in which they are listened to and understood.”

 

She conducts sessions in Arabic and English .
